"Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal- is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he has been robbed. The fact is that most putts don't drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, and most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is just like an old time rail journey with delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinder, and jolts, interspersed occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride."---Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley

Random....

Random images..... little snippets of life, bottled, captured, frozen persay... Imperfect but perfect in so so many ways. Is this what we will remember when they are all grown? The dirty face, the sneaky grin, the little girl dancing in her sisters shoes.... hiding under the umbrella from rain that only she can feel? I sure hope so.... because these memories that they are making are among my favorite memories of all..... I feel so blessed and greatful to be a part of it.

The electricians are done!!!!

I want to do a happy dance!!! What wonderful young men (dear God I sound old!!!) that did such a great job. Time for the cleanup to begin... I dont think Ive ever seen so much dirt actually INSIDE a house... Speaking of dirt.. Austyn has decided that she likes well actually loves dirt.... loves to roll in it, throw it, feed it to Savanah.. you get the picture. Its a good thing mud is good for your skin... it seems all her baths are mud baths these days! I took some snaps of the dirty fun yesterday and will try to upload them in a bit :)

P.J. you are so much fun!!

What a doll you are....growing up so fast! Here is a sneek peek for you Jodi. Lots more to come :)

My boy....

I wonder if he will know someday that he holds my heart? That some of my favorite memories of him as a little boy are of him clinging to my leg or being in my arms? I wonder if he remembers how inseparable we use to be... He is growing up..... becoming his own little man.... exploring the world...
He is amazing.... the biggest dreamer that I know. A teller of tales, a writer of stories. Wise so far beyond his years.
Mr M I love you so.

I never write....

I think a lot .... but never quite type it out... Im always running....chasing.. cleaning..yelling...caring..calming..loving... freaking out a bit? I was on the phone this morning thinking about how funny my life must look to an outsider.. to a fly on the wall... or perhaps to the two electricians (mind you they are probably in their early 20's) that are rewiring our house right now.... our life is, um very busy...
There is a constant stream of Dora the Explorer blaring thru the house... the washer and dryer havent stoped in days as I am trying to repair the huricane size damage from the house wide stomach flu.... which I thought was over but apparantly is not.. it was only this morning that I was discussing a bridal session with a client that Savanah gave back her morning bottle... all over me, all over everything... such fun.... I tried to keep my composure.. Im not sure it worked.
Back to the chaos... the phone keeps ringing... again and again.... I try to have a civilized conversation without having to holler "please put your clothes on" "please be quiet" "please get that out of the toliet" "PLEASE" I honestly wonder what magnet my phone has...... kids who haven't spoken to me all morning are on the floor screaming my name the moment the phone rings..... it makes for some lovely fun filled conversations.......
These poor electricians may never come back from their lunch break....... as they drove away I prayed that their lunch conversation did not include how crazy "that lady" is.....
Lunch.. my gosh... half of us, myself included are still in pj's.... Austyn is naked again and I think Mason may have on yesterdays clothes.... they say these are the days....
With new electricity comes a house full of dust and more dust.. the wood floors are covered in it as are the walls..... I dare clean it as it will just keep coming... it sure makes the fingerprints on everything show up more. Someone is crying.... maybe two someones....... somedays I wish it were me. The front door is open to air out the house and I sure hope the neighbors dont stop by to investigate the noise..... what a site!
I must run and finish my actual work and stop worrying about the noise, the dirt and the chaos... someday I will look back on all of this and giggle.... that we all made it thru and just how funny it really was... for now... I have kids to raise.. and laundry to do...
