"Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal- is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he has been robbed. The fact is that most putts don't drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, and most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is just like an old time rail journey with delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinder, and jolts, interspersed occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride."---Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley

I never write....

I think a lot .... but never quite type it out... Im always running....chasing.. cleaning..yelling...caring..calming..loving... freaking out a bit? I was on the phone this morning thinking about how funny my life must look to an outsider.. to a fly on the wall... or perhaps to the two electricians (mind you they are probably in their early 20's) that are rewiring our house right now.... our life is, um very busy...
There is a constant stream of Dora the Explorer blaring thru the house... the washer and dryer havent stoped in days as I am trying to repair the huricane size damage from the house wide stomach flu.... which I thought was over but apparantly is not.. it was only this morning that I was discussing a bridal session with a client that Savanah gave back her morning bottle... all over me, all over everything... such fun.... I tried to keep my composure.. Im not sure it worked.
Back to the chaos... the phone keeps ringing... again and again.... I try to have a civilized conversation without having to holler "please put your clothes on" "please be quiet" "please get that out of the toliet" "PLEASE" I honestly wonder what magnet my phone has...... kids who haven't spoken to me all morning are on the floor screaming my name the moment the phone rings..... it makes for some lovely fun filled conversations.......
These poor electricians may never come back from their lunch break....... as they drove away I prayed that their lunch conversation did not include how crazy "that lady" is.....
Lunch.. my gosh... half of us, myself included are still in pj's.... Austyn is naked again and I think Mason may have on yesterdays clothes.... they say these are the days....
With new electricity comes a house full of dust and more dust.. the wood floors are covered in it as are the walls..... I dare clean it as it will just keep coming... it sure makes the fingerprints on everything show up more. Someone is crying.... maybe two someones....... somedays I wish it were me. The front door is open to air out the house and I sure hope the neighbors dont stop by to investigate the noise..... what a site!
I must run and finish my actual work and stop worrying about the noise, the dirt and the chaos... someday I will look back on all of this and giggle.... that we all made it thru and just how funny it really was... for now... I have kids to raise.. and laundry to do...

Kelly, I could have written this post. Seriously, my life is so similar! Mounds of laundry, crying, repeating myself and the countless workers that have been in my house whom I am sure were having the same conversations about the "crazy lady!" You also gave me big smile, it is nice to know we are not alone. Hope everyone gets better soon!!!

You should write more often. This sounds familiar to me as well. Seems when I get on the phone by the time I have finished the conversation the house is upside down again. Heck, at least your still saying please. If it makes you feel better I am still wearing my PJ'S, it's 5ish here in Cali. Lets just say I have a jump start on getting ready for bed, lol.

PS I have been cleaning the carpets all day. Due to the fact my two year old refuses to keep her diaper on. So when it's filled, you better run fast. Otherwise, you'll be cleaning the carpets, lol;)
